Mission Statement
The mission of Southern Cross
Ministries is to provide critical incident
stress management to emergency
services personnel. Providing
comfort and spiritual support to
citizens affected by a traumatic event
in the Tri county area.

Duties of Volunteer Chaplains
Provide emotional, moral, & spiritual help to emergency services personal
Assist agencies should there be a line of duty injury or death
Make visits to hospital and / or funeral home to support personnel during difficult times
Provide counseling for personnel & their family members
Provide critical incident stress debriefings to personnel
Provide support to families in the community during crisis situations
Assist personnel in making death notifications to members of the community
Responds to the scene of any law enforcement shooting
Responds to all major disasters whether man made or nature
Serve as a liaison with religious leaders of the community, as well as other groups
